About Me
My name is Edward but you can call me Eddie. Iam retired due to work releated injury. I'am married , and my Grandchildren are my everything. I collect old Model Trains. We have a chihuahua/ mini pincher mix, and a English Bulldog(son's). A big football fan. Back in the late 70's I raised Racing Homers, never raced them. We had to move, and my wife at the time didn't want these birds around. Since than I remarried. Today I went out to my front yard to see if some boiling water I poured yesterday on some weeds did it job.(destroy). To my surprise I saw a young Blue Check Hen standing by side of my house. She( I think it is a female) had one wing slightly lower than regular. Than I saw 2 bands on one of her feet. I got excited, than calming myself down I trapped the bird in a corner & picked her up. Her band says she was born last year. Maybe she ran into a telephone or electric line. So I put her in my dog's empty crate with feed & water. Didn't checkout her to close, I didn't want to stress her out more than she already has. So i decided to see the cost of birds now, & thats how I got to your page. She or he will need a mate when she heals.

Raising pigeons since I was 10. I have had many breeds in the past. I have been breeding and showing German Beauty Homers since 1980. I don't always have champion but do well. I also breed and show Voorburg Shield Croppers. I have a loft of White Racing Homers that I let fly when the hawks aren't to active. I enjoy the birds and the interesting people who also keep pigeons. Izzy |

GGGrandmother was Lydia Lauck Brougher married to Samuel Brougher. Both are buried in Fileys Cemetery here outside of Dillsburg. Also buried there are George Michael Lauck and his wife Anna Zoeller. John Lauck was supposed to have come from Berks co to Dillsburg. I'd like to know the specifics, such as when and where he came to. Any other info would be greatly appreciated. I won't be able to attend the reunion as much as I'd like to. Thanks very much Bob Banks |
